Teen & children’s courses

Cooking classes for teens and children

Cooking is an essential life skill for all young people – but it’s also a whole lot of fun! Learning to cook builds confidence and independence and makes life easier for parents and carers too: what’s not to like? My classes are fun, safe and informal with lots to taste and take home.

I’m fully PVG registered and hold an up-to-date health and safety qualification. All courses are held in our fabulous kitchen space at St George’s School, Murrayfield, Edinburgh.

After-school club - (Block of 4)

My after-school activities, for kids 10 and over, teaches essential cooking skills in a fun, practical way. For example, we’ll work on those chopping skills by making Vietnamese summer rolls, and we practice kneading by dishing up delicious flatbreads. Getting kids and teens cooking builds independence and confidence and teaches an essential life skill. It’s fun too!

Classes run in four-week blocks from 6 – 8pm during term-time.

Children’s holiday club

My holiday cooking camps for 9 – 12s keep the kids busy and make the holidays just a little more delicious. Holiday cooking camps last for the whole day, so there’s plenty of time to try new skills – with lots of fun and lots of yummy things to eat! We’ll make delicious stir-fries, rustle up an amazing pasta dish and work on some gorgeous sweet treats too.

Holiday clubs for teenagers

My one-day courses give us more time to try new techniques and work on more complicated recipes – there’s more time to taste too! We’ll master the art of dough-making, producing such as gorgeous soft pretzels, ciabatta or pizzas, master the ultimate Mexican chilli or curry and try out some more adventurous cakes and bakes.
