Showstopper cake class - (Sat 14th Jan)

Join me to make this fabulous showstopper cake! In this class, we’ll make light and fluffy Swiss meringue buttercream, a rich, decadent salted caramel sauce and caramel shards to decorate your masterpiece.

At the start of the workshop, I’ll demonstrate how to bake the spiced apple sponge and guide you through all the steps you need to know to bake it at home. So that we can focus on the decorative elements and technical skills of cake decoration, I’ll pre-prepare the sponges you’ll work on. That means we don’t have to spend time waiting for your sponges to cool – because we all know how that works out on Bake Off!

What to expect:

•  A course for adults (16+) from 10am to 2pm.

•  Together we’ll bake and decorate one of my signature showstopper cakes - a spectacular toffee apple drip cake.

•  Please bring a box with you to take your beautiful creation home.

•  Held at St George’s Lower School, Coltbridge Terrace, Edinburgh, EH12 6BG.

•  Ingredients and lunch provided, please bring a water bottle with you.

•  Led by me, a highly qualified chef with full food safety and first aid certification.
